Darling, you know I adore ya
So come back to California
We'll go to the disco
Skyline San Francisco
Cuz can't you tell I like you alot?
But I can never strike when the iron's hot
You know my heart beats out morse code for you
Since you went away I don't know what to do
So baby, don't say maybe
You'll drive yourself crazy
Listen to your heartbeat
Let it guide you to me
You know I've seen this kinda thing before
When you got love knocking on your door
But you're star-stuck with the city lights
Now you're turned around you don't know left from right
So I sing oh, you know I miss you so
Darling come back to me keep me company
Let's take this love back to the start
Let it go oh oh oh, straight to your heart
Just like a cannon ball
Now even though you're away
I think of you everyday
Psychic signals just might
Bring you back to my side
But I missed the chance to tell you how I feel
Play the moment back reel to reel
There's no telegram postcard or telephone
Just a melody to navigate you home
I sing oh, you know I miss you so
Darling come back to me keep me company
Let's take this love back to the start
Let it go oh oh oh, straight to your heart
When you saw her did she remember?
She couldn't think back past November
Was she a ghost then? A breath? A phantom?
She acted like nothing had happened
I just need someone to hold me tight
A love that lasts all through the night
From the bedroom to the hallway..
I couldn't think of anything to say
Was there a light left for to guide you?
Just darkness through and through and through
I keep thinking everything's a sign
Misread the stars to make her mine
Now If I see her in my sleep
My heart takes a leap and it skips a beat
I shake shake shake from my head to my feet
And I realize she's the one that I need, I sing
Oh, you know I miss you so
Honey come back to me darling can't you see
You got me on my knees and I'm falling apart
Let it go oh oh oh oh, straight to your heart
Just like a cannon ball

My favorite song is Some Nights, but I really love all the songs. They are dreamy and sweet, but also importantly they cover a really important topic:depression and feeling stuck. I think it's really cool that she wrote the songs herself and uses a synthesizer as her instrument. I know that Deerful doesn't think that people have the means to play cassettes, but I do ^^ I love the sound of a tape, and I have an old cassette player :) OwlCassettes
